Valentine’s Day is less than a week away. Dean Von Music Podcast Show is celebrating with the release of Podcast #12.

Getting ready to start the show, which is being recorded today, Dean is excited to welcome singer Mark Boals to the Dean Von Music Podcast Show.

After listening to some of Dean’s research I knew right away that this talented heavy metal singer from Red Rayvn had choir in his youth. Like most choir people we can recognize it right away. His beautiful clear voice is awesome.

I would love to hear Dean and Mark tear it up on When Something is Wrong with My Baby. Recorded by two of my favorite singers, John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes, both legends of Rock and Roll in Australia Dean and Mark would rock it.

This will be number 12 in the Dean Von Music Podcast Show series. Moreover it is going to be followed up by two more yet to be announced talents that you won’t want to miss. Be sure to follow Dean and get ready for the show this Valentine’s Day weekend at 5:00 pm PST.

New Song Out Now

If you have been following Dean you will know he has been in the studio mixing things up. His brand new dance single will get you moving and is called Be Who You Are.

In addition, Slippin’ Away, featuring yours truly on the backing vocals is quietly making its way up the charts. It’s a song that makes you think and that is certainly what Dean’s fans are saying about the tune.

New Album Out Soon

I have yet to be given an exact date but I am told that the new album will be out soon. I’m trying to talk Dean into getting in pressed on vinyl as well. Why not?

Dean Von Music Podcast Show New Series

It’s on like Donkey Kong and if you don’t know what this author is talking about Google it. In all seriousness, the Dean Von Music Podcast Show is getting ready for another series of videos. In fact, he just interviewed Mick Clarke for the first in his new Podcast Series. The new series premieres on October 28th at 7:30 pm.

With that being said, for the past couple of months Dean has been in the studio. Trust me the studio has been banging with Dean recording new tunes for his yet to be released album. Furthermore, the new songs are a bit different to his usual style.

New Album Spring 2023

Some of the songs that will be included on the untitled album include Northshore through Nevada, a new version of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game featuring yours truly, and remakes of his popular hits Remote Control and Missing You. All eyes are on Dean as he unveils his new new album out spring 2023.

The Dean Von Music Podcast Show second series Rock and Roll Blues Legends starts with an interview with the talented guitarist and legend himself Mick Clarke.

The interview is fantastic with Mick talking about his life on the road with rock legends Jeff Beck, John Entwistle, Dennist Elliott, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton and Les Sebastian Charles, bettter known as Billly Ocean.

I was thrilled to listen in on the first half of the interview. I ended up going to bed while the two rock legends continued on through the night with Mick sharing his love of music and life on the road with fellow rock stars who become dear friends.

In addition to the live listen I also had the pleasure of listening to Dean editing the podcast and it is fantastic. The new series of the Dean Von Music Podcast Show is a must premiering on October 28th at 7:30 pm!

The premiere will feature Dean and Mick Live listening to the podcast while you do. You will also be able to ask questions and chat live with these two legends of rock and roll.

A New Dean Von Music Podcast Series

If you haven’t been following the Dean Von Music Podcast Show get caught up. Get caught up because Dean is in preproduction and you have no idea what the talented music maker has planned. Going into production soon is another series with #11 on the launching pad.

In addition to booking new guests for the Dean Von Music Podcast Show, the talented songwriter has been hard at it in the studio working on a tune that is bound to be a hit.

At this moment in time my lips are sealed, as far as the title goes, but what I can say is that the memorable song is something that everyone will be humming once Dean has handed the fully produced version over to his distributor CD Baby.

Dean Von Film Composer in the Works

Well we all knew it would happen, well, I did anyway. Dean Von has finally attracted the attention of the film industry. Attracting attention from writers and directors curious as to what he has to offer.

Of course we know that this amazing artist has composed for television, remastered my meditation tape which has yet to be released, and our YouTube clips, but this is his first foray into the world of film and I for one think he is fabulous.

Dean Von a One Man Band

Dean Von has always been a one man band of sorts insisting on recording every instrument and sound himself.

It’s fun to listen in my studio as Dean figures out all of the sounds he hasn’t used in years on his Korg O1W and his Roland Canvas SC. I am a girl in Heaven that is for sure.

As a composer Dean Von hears what he wants in his head and isn’t happy until he gets that sound in the mix.

Dean’s fans and followers will be happy to know that Dean is making use of his fabulous set up of wonderful effects creating a cinematic picture that unfolds even with your eyes closed.

The Motion Picture World has Been Waiting for Dean Von

Projects in the words include a possible Western set in the future and a short by a fabulous world renowned film maker.

The world is beginning to see what this incredible talent is all about. All it took was nearly a year to figure out his path and the lane that he wanted to stay in.

Because the artist wears many hats, the Dean Von Music Podcast Music Show and his publishing label to name just a couple, it took him awhile to narrow things down.

Always Writing Something New

As of this writing Dean is in the studio having some fun with a new song. In addition he’s been working on a piano ballad that is turning out to be as epic as all of is his songs are.

Dean Von Music on a Wild Ride

As someone who has had the pleasure of listening to the singer songwriter compose for nearly two decades, I am amazed at the layers that he is continually adding to each piece he composes.

For example, the new song is an incredible symphony of percussion, keys, guitar and harmonic voices that is blending into something phenomenal.

One of my favorite things in the world is getting out of the studio for an hour or two. I just love to come back to find out what he has added to his masterpiece.

Dean Von the Rockstar

When I first met Dean I didn’t even know he was a musician, much less a Rockstar. When we met in 2005 he had just sold his computer store and never mentioned his song writing or the old days.

The Catalyst

It wasn’t until Leah, a dear friend of Dean’s and now as dear to me for nearly 17 years, brought a Walkman, I think that’s what it was, to a little bar in Azusa.

I had driven out from my apartment in Hollywood to watch him shoot and spend the night. Dean played APA league pool at the time.

When Leah walked up to me and said, “Did you know that Dean used to be in a band?” I said, “No I had no idea, he had never mentioned it.” So Leah hands me the earbuds and walked away.

It didn’t take but three seconds for me to walk over and playfully push him saying, “Oh my God!” Why didn’t you tell me you were a Rockstar?” Of course, being the man of not so many words, he saves those for his songs, he walked away shrugging his shoulders.

At that time I had only known Dean a couple of months. We actually met on an online dating site, no not eHarmony, that’s another blog in itself.

A True Rockstar

I listened to every song and was blown away. His voice and talent was something that I hadn’t heard in a very long time. Being a musician myself I appreciate someone who has got it going on.

After I listened to each song a couple of times I immediately told Dean that I needed a songwriter and some songs for my pool shows and the rest is history.

Today Dean is back in the studio and I am so very proud. He was born to write, play and perform music. You won’t believe what is coming out of his head next.

Always reinventing himself musician, singer, songwriter Dean Von has just launched his very own Dean Von Music Podcast Show. Airing on Anchor and very soon on his Almost Famous YouTube channel. Always working on new material Northshore Through Nevada is his latest addition to his massive catalogue of original tunes.

Dean is distributed by CD Baby. He felt that the show was a way that he could share his vast experience.

My name is Lois Larimore, and while I rarely, if ever, write in first person, I thought it was appropriate as Dean Von is my partner and has been since 2005.

A New Chapter with Dean Von Music

About a year later, Dean joined a band that would be known as Crossroads. Crossroads still plays occasionally and was a great venue for him to hone his stage skills. Needless to say, they needed no honing.

The first time I saw Dean Von perform, he was on fire. He knows how to get the crowd going and is just incredible. He pulls you in and isn’t afraid to get in your face when he is wowing his fans.

Word Spread Quickly about Dean Von

Once Dean started performing again, his fan base quickly grew. His old fans found him and started following him again. Dean was so well liked that he was asked to perform at a sellout crowd for a Ronnie James Deo tribute. Dean wore Ronnie’s shirt onstage and was amazing.

A New Distributor on the Horizon for Dean Von

In the past, I had been doing distribution. One of his hits, Can’t Keep My Eyes of off You is on Touchtunes and about 12 of his songs are available for download on Zedge for ringtones and notification. Dean’s music is also used for My Pool TV and his Pool Tip series on YouTube.

Obviously I can’t do it all so we are excited to bring a new distributor onboard who will be licensing the the library for film, television and new media.
